Your file is measured first, then normalised using those measurements. A single-pass guess drifts on quiet or uneven recordings; measuring first is what makes the result land on the target.

The dead air before your first word and after your last one is measured and cut. Pauses inside the episode are left exactly as you recorded them.
Fade in and fade out anywhere from 0 to 5 seconds. They are applied after normalisation, so the loudness stage cannot flatten them back out.

Limits. A file can be up to 200 MB or 3 hours long, whichever comes first. Ten files per day per visitor, and at most two files are processed at once — the rest wait in a short queue. These limits exist because the tool is genuinely free and the server is shared with the other Bubixo tools.
Listeners reach for the volume knob on your show and not on the next one. That is a loudness problem, and normalising to −16 LUFS fixes it.
Normalisation sets the overall level of the finished mix. If the imbalance is between separate tracks, fix that in your editor first, then master here.
The same interview going to a podcast feed and to YouTube wants two different targets. Run it twice and pick a different preset each time.
Recorders keep running before you start and after you stop. Trimming removes that without touching the pauses inside your conversation.
This tool changes level, trims the ends and shapes the edges. It does not cut sections out of the middle, remove filler words, separate speakers, reduce background noise or repair clipping that is already baked into the recording. If your problem is any of those, an editor is the right tool and this page will not solve it.
One honest limit worth knowing: loudness can only be raised by adding gain, and gain raises peaks by the same amount. On a very quiet or heavily peaked recording, reaching −14 LUFS without breaking the true-peak ceiling is simply not possible. When that happens the studio stops at the ceiling and tells you on the result screen, rather than pushing further and distorting your audio. That is the correct outcome, not a failure.
LUFS measures how loud something sounds to a person, not how large its peaks are. Podcast platforms settled on roughly −16 LUFS for stereo, so shows normalised to it sit at a consistent level next to each other. YouTube and Spotify normalise closer to −14 LUFS.
It will make it sit at the right level, start and end cleanly and stay under the peak ceiling. It cannot remove room echo, hiss or a bad microphone. Mastering is the last step, not a rescue.
MP3 at 192 kbps is right for publishing — it is what most podcast hosts want and the file is far smaller. Choose WAV if this file goes back into an editor for more work, since it stays uncompressed.
