Getting the Ringtone Onto Your Phone

iPhone (M4R)

Cut the clip to 30 seconds or less and export M4R. On a computer, open Finder (or iTunes on Windows), connect the iPhone and drag the .m4r file across — or use GarageBand on the phone to share it as a ringtone. Then pick it under Settings › Sounds & Haptics › Ringtone.

Android

Export MP3 and copy it into your phone's Ringtones folder over USB or with a file manager. Open Settings › Sound › Phone ringtone and choose your file — many phones let you add it directly with a “+”.

Privacy

Your File Is Deleted After Cutting

Cutting runs on Bubixo's own server with FFmpeg, so the tool works the same on any phone or computer without installing anything.
The file you upload is used only to make the cut, then the source is deleted as soon as processing finishes. Generated clips are kept for a limited time and never shared.

Can I make an iPhone ringtone with this?

Yes. Export the M4R format, which is the ringtone format iOS uses. Keep it to 30 seconds to be safe (the page warns you past 40 seconds), then transfer it with Finder, iTunes or GarageBand.

Is the cut accurate to the second?

Yes, to the millisecond. The audio is re-encoded rather than roughly copied, so the start and end land exactly where you set them and fades are applied cleanly.

Can I take the audio out of a video?

Yes. Drop an MP4 or MOV file in and the video is discarded, leaving only the sound to cut and export.

What formats can I export?

MP3 (128, 192 or 320 kbps), M4R, M4A, WAV and OGG. MP3 is the safe default; M4R is for iPhone ringtones; WAV is lossless.

Is my file uploaded somewhere?

The file is sent to Bubixo's own server to be cut, because the cutting is done with FFmpeg. The source is deleted the moment processing finishes, nothing is shared, and no account is needed.

Why can't I open an iTunes .m4p file?

Files bought from the iTunes Store as protected .m4p are DRM-locked and cannot be opened by any editor. Use a DRM-free MP3, M4A or AAC file instead.
