Video Cutter: Trim MP4, MOV and WebM Online

Most of the time you do not need an editing suite, you need thirty seconds out of the middle of a recording. Set the start and the end, and download exactly that part as an MP4.

What the cutter does

Take the Part You Need, Leave the Rest

The tool loads your video in a local preview, lets you mark the section, and then cuts that range on the server with FFmpeg.

Preview Before Cutting

The video plays in your browser first, so you can find the exact moment you want to keep.

Set Start and End

Type a timestamp or press the button that copies the current player position into the field.

Millisecond Precision

Times are expressed down to milliseconds, which is enough to cut cleanly between two words.

Server-Side Cutting

FFmpeg performs the cut on the Bubixo server, so the result does not depend on your computer's speed.

Standard MP4 Output

The trimmed section comes back as an MP4 file that plays anywhere.

Neutral File Names

The output is given a random file name rather than reusing the name of your original recording.

How it works

Four Steps to a Trimmed Clip

No timeline, no rendering queue on your machine and nothing to install.

1

Choose a Video

Select an MP4, MOV or WebM file. It loads into a preview player straight away.

2

Find the Start

Play to the moment the section should begin and copy the player time into the start field.

3

Find the End

Do the same for the end of the section, or type both timestamps by hand.

4

Cut and Download

Start the cut and download the trimmed MP4 when it is ready.

Supported files

Which Videos You Can Trim

Three input containers, one predictable output.

MP4

MP4 Video

Phone recordings, screen captures and exported clips in the most common format.

MOV

MOV Video

QuickTime files as produced by iPhones and Mac software.

WEBM

WebM Video

The format browser-based recorders usually produce.

Whatever you put in, the trimmed section comes back as an MP4. The tool cuts one continuous range per run; to keep several separate sections, cut them one after another.

Use cases

One Section Is All You Need

Cutting is often the only edit a recording ever needs.

Meeting Recordings

Keep the five minutes where the decision was made and drop the rest of the call.

Social Clips

Pull a short highlight out of a long recording before uploading it.

Lessons and Training

Share the single step a colleague asked about instead of a forty minute video.

Bug Reports

Attach only the moment the problem appears so nobody has to scrub through footage.

Privacy and responsible use

Trim Only Recordings You Are Authorised to Use

The section you cut is processed on the server, so the same care applies as with any upload.

  • Cut video you recorded yourself or have permission to edit.
  • Get consent before publishing a clip that shows identifiable people.
  • Remember that a short clip taken out of context can misrepresent what was said.
  • The output file is given a neutral, random name rather than your original one.
  • Download your trimmed file and keep your own copy of the source recording.

⚠ Good to know

A Cutter, Not an Editor

This tool removes everything outside one start and end point. It does not join clips, add transitions, overlay text, change the soundtrack or re-order sections. If you need captions or a voice-over, use the Bubixo tool built for that after you have trimmed the file.

The interface is currently only available in Turkish, although the workflow is visual: pick a file, set two times, press the button. The output is always MP4, so an exotic source codec may be re-encoded on the way out.

Frequently asked questions

Video Cutter FAQ

Which video formats can I trim?

MP4, MOV and WebM. The trimmed section is returned as an MP4 file.

How precise is the cut?

Start and end times are expressed down to milliseconds, and the buttons copy the exact position of the preview player.

Can I cut several parts at once?

Each run produces one continuous section. Repeat the process to take a second section from the same recording.

Does the tool re-upload my whole video?

The preview plays locally, and the file is sent to the server to perform the actual cut with FFmpeg.

Do I need an account?

No. Choose a file, set the range and download the result.

Can I add text or music to the clip?

Not here. Trim it first, then use the Bubixo tool for adding text and voice to video.
