Faces
Faces are detected and followed through the clip, so a person stays hidden while they move rather than flickering in and out.
◆ BUBIXO PRIVACY CLEANER
Upload a video and let Bubixo find faces, licence plates and personal details shown on screen or spoken out loud. You review every finding, and the cleaned video is rendered only after you approve it.
What it can hide
A single street recording can expose a face, a licence plate, a delivery address on a label and a phone number read out loud. Each of those is a separate switch you can turn on or off.
Faces are detected and followed through the clip, so a person stays hidden while they move rather than flickering in and out.
Vehicle plates are detected as their own category and can be hidden independently of faces.
Phone numbers, national identity numbers, e-mail addresses, IBANs and postal addresses that appear in the picture.
Personal information said out loud can be covered with a beep in the audio track.
Add your own terms when something specific to your recording needs to disappear as well.
Blur, pixelate or a solid black box, applied consistently to everything you chose to hide.
The review step
Automatic detection is never perfect, so the tool does not pretend otherwise. After the analysis you get a review screen: play the video, check the boxes, and fix what the detector got wrong.
Only when you press the button is the cleaned video produced.
How it works
Upload, choose, analyse, review, render. Nothing is published or shared by the tool itself.
MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, MKV or AVI, up to 1 GB and 15 minutes.
Tick faces, plates, phone numbers, identity numbers, e-mail and IBAN, addresses and spoken details, then pick blur, pixelate or a black box.
The video is examined frame by frame. Longer videos naturally take longer.
Correct the detections, approve them, and download the cleaned video once it has been produced.
Supported files
One video at a time, with the limits the service actually enforces.
Phone recordings, camera exports and screen captures in the two most common formats, plus M4V.
Container formats often produced by cameras, dash cams and older recording software.
The web-native format used by browser-based screen and camera recorders.
Use cases
Most of these recordings were never made for an audience, which is exactly why they need cleaning before they get one.
Bystanders end up in almost every outdoor recording. Hide them and keep your subject.
Share an incident without publishing the plates of every vehicle around you.
Remove customer names, e-mail addresses and account numbers from a demo of your own software.
Publish an office or factory tour without exposing every employee who walks past the camera.
Share classroom or training footage with the participants hidden.
Protect a source or a bystander before material is handed over or broadcast.
Share a recording with third parties while keeping unrelated people out of it.
Hide one specific person in already recorded footage while leaving everyone else visible.
Privacy and responsible use
The whole point of the tool is to reduce the personal data in a video before it is shared. That only works if the footage was yours to process in the first place.
⚠ Important
Detection can miss a face turned away from the camera, a plate at a sharp angle, text that is small or out of focus, or a detail spoken unclearly. It can also cover something that was never private. That is why the review screen exists, and why the cleaned video is only rendered after you have gone through it.
Watch the finished video from beginning to end before you publish or send it. Do not treat the result as an anonymisation guarantee or as legal compliance in itself: the responsibility for what leaves your hands stays with you.

Yes, and you are expected to. Drag on the video to add an area the detector missed, delete boxes that are wrong, and click a face to leave that person visible.
Yes. Mark that person in the review screen and they stay visible through the clip while everyone else is hidden.
Blur looks the most natural, pixelation makes it obvious that something was hidden, and a black box removes the area entirely. All three are applied to the exported video.
No. The analysis and rendering run on the Bubixo server; video frames are not sent to outside AI services.
They are deleted automatically after 24 hours, and you can delete the video and its data yourself from the result screen at any time.
No. Automatic detection can miss things, and people can be recognised by context even when a face is hidden. Always review the finished video yourself.
Upload the footage, choose what should disappear, review every detection and download a version that is safe to publish.
